Welcome to Blach's Lunch 2011-2012

What's New...

The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) is strictly enforcing the Federal Meat Inspection Act (21 U.S.C. 601 et seq.) and the Poultry Products Inspection Act (21 U.S.C. 458 et seq.) for all school lunch programs.

As a result, school PTAs are no longer allowed to accept direct payment from parents. Therefore, all sales of food must be made directly to an approved USDA vendor.

The Blach Hot Lunch Committee has chosen two local trusted vendors, Pasta Market and Spot Pizza to provide the meals. DeMartini Orchards will continue to provide fresh fruit and Alhambra Water will provide the bottled water. All lunch orders will be placed directly through Pasta Market.

Pasta Market will be offering an expanded menu to Blach Monday – Friday. Thursdays will continue to be our Spot pizza day. Menu selections will vary throughout the school year and four choices will be offered on a daily basis. All lunches will include an entrée, fruit and water.

There will be three different menu sessions this school year. You will be able to order different items from week to week to try new things, or order the full session in advance. Blach's menu is a special school menu and samples are not available from the restaurant. However, the system is flexible and an order can be modified if a child discovers they don't like a certain dish once they've tried it.

The proceeds from hot lunch will continue to help fund: technology, core subject materials, staff appreciation, student assistance, library support, student day planners, campus improvements, emergency preparation and special education support, etc.

The Hot Lunch Committee thanks you for your support and encourages Blach families to patronize Pasta Market, Spot Pizza, DeMartini Orchards and Alhambra Water. We could not have continued our hot lunch program without their cooperation and support.

Here's how it works

Ordering

To view menu selections, register, and begin ordering, go to: http://pastamarket.orderlunches.com
If you are signing up for the first time, click on Register. You will be prompted for the school password. Blach's password is Blach179. Follow the prompts to set up your account and register your student(s).

Order form - Set "Location"
Be sure to choose a Location for your student from the drop down menu.
The "Location" is the first initial of your student's last name.

Example:   The last name of Anderson would click on the A-B button.
           The last name of Klein would click on the H-K button.
           The last name of Smith would click on the R-S button.
(The numbers to the left of the letters are for internal use only. Do not enter room number, teacher name, etc.)


Once you've created a Username and Password you can click on Sign In for future orders.

Hot Lunch Sessions

The Hot Lunch menu will change three times this year, according to the session dates below.

Orders can be entered weekly (as long as entered the Friday before the week will begin), or submitted for the full session. It is also possible to update hot lunch orders if you decide you no longer want certain items or would like to substitute one meal for another.

Session 1: Aug 29, 2011 - Oct 31, 2011
Session 2: Nov 1, 2011 - Feb 29, 2012
Session 3: Mar 1, 2012 - Jun 5, 2012
